In 2002, Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engg) reported a steady
operating performance despite the challenging economic environment,
and took several significant steps forward in its quest to establish
its place on the world stage of engineering and defence. Paving the
way for future growth, the Group made a number of acquisitions and
investments which further extended its operations network in the US,
Europe and Asia-Pacific region as well as launched numerous innovative
products and services. It also received a constant stream of accolades
during the year in its pursuit of business and operational excellence.
