ST Engg became the first public-listed company
in Singapore to receive this award which is conferred on organisations

3rd Investors' Choice Award
ST Engg scored a hat-trick by bagging the "Golden Circle Award"
(overall winner) and the "Most Transparent Company Award in
the Multi Industry/ Conglomerates Sector" for the third year
running.
Asiamoney's Corporate Governance Poll
In this inaugural poll, ST Engg scored top marks – among the
21 companies chosen from the MSCI Index – in the "Capital
Goods" category.
29th Annual Report Award
ST Engg was second runner-up for the "Best Annual Report
Award (Mainboard)" and first runner-up for the "Best Corporate
Governance Report Award".
Flight International Aerospace Industry Awards 2002
ST Aero emerged the winner in the "Maintenance & Modification"
category.
Gruppo Agusta International Helicopter Fellowship
Award 2002
ST Aero, together with the Singapore Apache Team, won this prestigious
award given by the American Helicopter Society
in
recognition of the team's significant contribution and excellent
performance in the Apache programme.
Innovation & Quality Class (IQC) Award
ST Engg received the "Outstanding IQC Organisation Award 2002"
by SPRING Singapore in recognition of the Group's outstanding
contribution and commitment to the IQC movement. In addition, ST
Kinetics' project team, Dynamics, was conferred the "Eureka
Award" for its innovativeness and employment of unique methodology
and techniques while ST Elect's senior manager, Ms Yasmin Sin,
was conferred the "Outstanding IQC Manager Award".
16th Annual PCB Technology Leadership Awards
ST Elect's subsidiary, CET Technologies, became Singapore's
only winner in recent years in the "Data Communication"
category.
Asiamoney's Best Managed Companies 2002
ST Engg was voted one of Singapore's Best Managed Companies
(ranked in fourth position) in this annual poll. It came in second
for Treatment of Minority Shareholders and Communications with Shareholders/Investors,
and third for Overall Best Investor Relations and Financial Management.

Best Companies Awards 2002 by FinanceAsia
ST Engg was highly ranked in several categories for Singapore's
Best Companies Awards, including "Best Managed Company",
"Best Investor Relations", "Company Most Committed
to Corporate Governance", and "Strongest Commitment to
Enhancing Shareholder Value".
Defence Technology Prize (DTP) 2002
Dr Richard Kwok, senior vice president and director of the Engineering
Development Centre at ST Kinetics won the MINDEF's "DTP Engineering
Award (Individual)" for his outstanding contributions to Singapore's
defence industrial capability in the areas of research and development,
systems engineering and integration, and design of land platform
systems. This is the first time the local defence industry has bagged
an individual award.
Singapore Engineering Software, a subsidiary of ST Elect, received
the "DTP Engineering Award (Team)" for its ‘Air Command and
Control Hub' project, together with team members: the Defence Science
and Technology Agency, the Republic of Singapore Air Force and the
DSO National Laboratories.
People Excellence Award
ST Elect's subsidiary, ST Training & Simulation, was one
of two companies to receive this award administered by SPRING Singapore
in recognition of its outstanding people development approach.
