The Automated Fingerprint Identification System 2 by SES was

FEBRUARY
ST Aero, through its subsidiary STA Supplies, was awarded US$10m Aircraft Leasing & Maintenance
contract by Biman Bangladesh Airlines to provide Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance
and Insurance (ACMI) support services for two B737-300 aircraft for one year.
ST Training & Simulation (STTS), a
ST Elect subsidiary, participated in Aero
India Exhibition at Bangalore, India.
Agilis participated in Satellite 2003 in Washington DC, USA.
Agilis invested in PolarSat, based in Quebec, Canada. PolarSat will acquire the
assets of Quebec-based NSI Communication Systems, a leading manufacturer of Very
Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) systems.
MARCH
VT Halter Marine held a keel laying ceremony for the second of two Logistic Support
Vessels (LSV) for the US Army.
ST Marine held a keel laying ceremony for the Republic of Singapore Navy’s
(RSN) Frigate 2.
CET won a contract to develop and implement a passenger information display system
for the new trains on the Tucheng Line in Taiwan.

The Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs commissioned the Command, Control & Communication
(C3) Network implemented by CET.
ST Elect was awarded a contract to provide Commercial
Telecommunication Facility for Circle Line Stage 3 for the Singapore MRT system.
ST Elect completed the Passenger Service Machines for Automatic Fare Collection
System for all stations in North-South, East-South, North-East and Changi Airport
MRT Lines.
ST Kinetics and ST Elect participated in IDEX 2003 at Abu Dhabi, UAE.
ST Aero signed a joint venture agreement with China Eastern Airlines to set up
a commercial aircraft repair facility in Shanghai, China.
ST Aero was ranked the world’s largest third party commercial airframe
maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider in Overhaul & Maintenance’s
