2009		ST Kinetics further expanded into China's special vehicles market with the acquisition of 75.3% stakes in Zhenjiang Huachen Huatong Road Machinery Co., Ltd. and Zhenjiang Huatong Aran Machinery Co., Ltd. ST Kinetics' STAR Automotive Centre opened a fully equipped mega service centre in the heart of the Ubi automotive cluster.
2008		ST Kinetics' Bronco All Terrain Tracked Carrier broke into international export market with a £150m order by UK MoD. ST Kinetics' signed memorandum of collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic to set up Solar Energy Test-Bedding Application Centre. ST Kinetics' joint venture company, Advanced Technology Research, and Nanyang Technological University launched Southeast Asia's first Cold Spray Research Centre. ST Kinetics' commenced the redevelopment of its premises at Jalan Boon Lay and Chin Bee Road. ST Kinetics' expanded into Latin America with the set up of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Mexico, VT Specialised Vehicles, S.A. de. C.V. (VT SVM).
2007		ST Kinetics' launched its first Commercial Articulated Vehicle. ST Kinetics celebrated its 40th Anniversary.
2006		VT Leeboy, a US-based leading manufacturer of road construction and maintenance equipment, was acquired by VT Land Systems.
2005		ST Kinetics' STAR Automotive Centre commenced operations in Hangzhou and Guangzhou. ST Kinetics joint venture company, Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics Co., Ltd, was set up to design, manufacture and distribute excavators and related specialty engineering products. ST Kinetics' Pegasus lightweight howitzer commissioned into service with the Singapore Armed Forces. VT Specialized Vehicles Corporation, a US-based leading manufacturer of specialised truck bodies and trailers acquired by VT Land Systems.
2003		ST Kinetics' Primus 155mm 39 calibre self propelled howitzer was commissioned into service with the Singapore Armed Forces. ST Kinetics and Beijing Heavy Duty Truck Plant set up Beijing Zhonghuan Kinetics Heavy Vehicles Co. Ltd. to design and produce specialised heavy commercial and industrial vehicles in China.
2001		ST Kinetics' Bronco all terrain tracked carrier was commissioned into service with the Singapore Armed Forces.
2000		ST Engineering acquired Chartered Industries of Singapore through ST Automotive to form ST Kinetics, its land systems arm.
1999		ST Automotive's Bionix infantry fighting vehicle was commissioned into service with the Singapore Armed Forces.
1997		ST Aerospace, ST Electronics, ST Automotive, and ST Marine merged to form Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering).
1991		Singapore Automotive Engineering was publicly listed and renamed ST Automotive.
1971		Singapore  Automotive Engineering (SAE) was formed to provide automotive related support for the Singapore Armed Forces.
1967		Chartered Industries of Singapore Pte Ltd was incorporated.  It started off as a pioneer indigenous defence company making ordnance for the Singapore Armed Forces.
