AgilFence PIDS (Perimeter Intrusion Detection System)
The AgilFence PIDS is designed and developed for fence security enabling a facility’s security force to respond quickly and effectively.
Offering highly accurate and instantaneous intrusion detection, the AgilFence PIDS applied advanced optical fiber sensors, known as Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG). These are embedded in the optical fiber cable to form an array of sensors for perimeter fence intrusion detection. These extremely sensitive FBG sensors are used to sense incidents and will trigger a response in the optical fiber sensor that translates into an intrusion alert.
The FBG sensors reflect a specific colour back to the system. Optical fiber cables embedded with a series of such FBG sensors, each with a unique colour, are then mounted on the fence . Intrusions which include climbs, cutting of the fence etc. will affect this steady state and change the colour reflected by the sensor back to the system. This colour change is detected by the system and an alert will be triggered.
