In our fight against SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), we have harnessed the power of leading-edge thermal imaging electro-optics technology and together with the Defence Science Technology Agency, developed the world’s first non-invasive Infrared Fever Screening System (IFssTM) in 2003. The latest evolution of the IFss, the PIFss, is now more compact to enhance portability. The PIFss provides rapid, realtime mass screening of human traffic to identify those with high fever; one of the primary and initial symptoms of SARS, Avian Flu (Bird Flu) and Dengue.
