ST Engineering and Radiflow Collaborate to Secure Global Critical Information Infrastructures and Close Cybersecurity Gaps

Singapore, 5 July 2018 ST Engineering today announced that it has invested in Radiflow, a leading provider of industrial cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructure based in Israel, and are collaborating to address cybersecurity risks and counter the onslaught of focused attacks faced by critical information infrastructure (CII).

This partnership enables ST Engineering to access Radiflow’s detection and prevention tools, of which its Electronics sector will integrate with its Command, Control and Communications (C3) capabilities – in this instant the rail supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. The combining of these two technologies has resulted in the development of the region’s first end-to-end cybersecurity solution for the rail transport industry.

“With cybersecurity as one of our strategic growth areas, we have intensified our acquisition of niche and breakthrough cyber technologies that complement and strengthen our existing cybersecurity capabilities for key customers,” said Mr Ravinder Singh, President, Electronics, ST Engineering. “The partnership signifies our commitment in addressing a pressing challenge faced by critical information infrastructure owners and operators globally to respond promptly and confidently to the growing influx of cyber-attacks.”

With the seamless, cross-platform integration of ST Engineering Electronic’s Rail C3 Systems (SCADA) and Radiflow’s Intrusion Detection System, global rail operators can now look forward to a consolidated overview and analysis of cyber events as well as a strengthened ability to differentiate between genuine Industrial Control Systems (ICS) failure and cyber-attacks. This will result in enhanced collaborative effort between the SCADA and cybersecurity teams to address any incidents, leading to a quicker response time.

"We are excited that ST Engineering has extended its partnership with us and has decided to make a strategic investment in Radiflow,” said Ilan Barda, CEO of Radiflow. "The collaboration between ST Engineering and Radiflow will enable us to introduce our solutions to new customers and territories, while this new investment will facilitate us to expand our market traction and accelerate the next stage of our growth."

Radiflow, a pioneer and provider of cybersecurity solutions for ICS and SCADA networks, has reported strong demand for its industrial cybersecurity solutions across all critical infrastructure sectors and has more than doubled the sales of its threat detection tools and services over the past year. Together with ST Engineering, it will collectively leverage their deep expertise to strengthen the resilience of CII that supports essential services globally.

The comprehensive cybersecurity solution will be on showcase at the LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE) from 9-11 July, Marina Bay Sands.
