The 68 m by 17.4 m vessel, equipped with two units of medium speed diesel engines of 2880KW each, was designed and built in compliance with the rules and regulations of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
This vessel, named Pacific Finder, carries the ABS Class Notation +A1, +AMS, ACCU, E and Ice D0. It also complies with the latest International Maritime Organization MSC.266 (84) Code of Safety for Special Purpose Ships, 2008. Pacific Finder, a four-streamer vessel, is deployed to carry out marine seismic surveys in shallow waters for oil and gas clients in the Asia Pacific region.
The vessel is capable of sailing at a select “survey speed” through the water. Both the hull and propulsion system were designed to produce low wake field turbulence to enable the vessel to complete its seismic surveys accurately.
