Built for the Soldier of the Future

The Hunter Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) is one of the most advanced fully digitalised fighting platforms designed to meet the operational requirements for the future battlefield.

Ergonomically designed for the technologically savvy and interconnected next-generation soldier, the Hunter was developed jointly with the Singapore Armed Forces and the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA).

Borne of disruptive thinking, fuelled by a shared passion for innovation and crafted with future-forward engineering capabilities, Hunter AFV offers amped up firepower, protection, mobility and situational awareness, making it the best in its class.

Integrated Combat Cockpit

Being the first fully digitalised platform of its kind, the integrated combat cockpit features an array of multi-function displays that supports each crew member in the task of command and control, gunnery and vehicle manoeuvre. These display features include video and data inputs from the driving cameras, Commander’s and Gunner’s sight, all-round surveillance sensors, system data from platform sensors and the Integrated Battlefield Management System (iBMS).

With increased operational efficiency, the Hunter AFV provides an Automatic Target Detection and Tracking Systems that augment the crew with swift and effective detection and target engagements.

All-Round Surveillance System

With an all-round surveillance system, the Hunter AFV enables closed-hatch operations where the crew is able to view surroundings onscreen without being exposed to sniper fire.

To further enhance survivability, the Hunter AFV is equipped with a laser warning system, so that the crew is able to respond to enemy fire effectively and in a timely manner.

The Drive-by-Wire feature enables driving via electrical signals, allowing driving functions to be located anywhere within the vehicle. With this, both the driver and the commander are able to drive and operate the vehicle seamlessly via a common set of controls and digital graphical user interface providing tactical flexibility for the crew. This technology also paves the way for unmanned and autonomous operations.

Enhanced C4 & Network Capabilities

With the full suite of C4 (Command, Control, Communications and Computers) systems on an open architecture, the Hunter AFV is equipped with enhanced network and communication capabilities that are not just modular to enable easier upgrades but also fully integrates both hardware and software systems.

With the Integrated Battlefield Management System (iBMS), coupled with advanced cybersecurity protection measures and the ability to operate in a GPS-deprived environment, the Hunter AFV ensures secured information transmission within and across platforms to facilitate connection with other vehicles for battlefield command and digitalised mission planning.

The Health and Utilisation Monitoring System provides better fleet management and allow condition based and predictive maintenance.

Firepower

The Hunter AFV is equipped with the Samson 30 Integrated Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS) with the Orbital ATK 30mm Mk44 Bushmaster II automatic cannon and a co-axial 7.62mm machine gun. The RCWS is configured with an Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) launcher that is retractable under armoured protection and smoke grenade launchers on either side of the gun mantlet.
