Ensuring Aircraft Part Quality in Aviation MRO
With over 28 years in aviation Quality Assurance roles, Eugene Tan, Commercial Aerospace’s Head of Policy & Accident Prevention, ensures that procedures for safe operations and airworthy aircraft are adequate and adhered to at ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business. In his role, Eugene had encountered a few cases of Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUPs), in spite of the fact that the aviation part supply market is highly regulated and controlled.
To combat SUPs, Eugene works closely with customers, procurement and technicians to ensure that all hands are on deck to help detect SUPs in every part of the MRO process. 
Full Range of LEAP MRO Solutions
We have been a LEAP MRO provider since 2020, providing quick-turn services for LEAP-1B engine and LEAP-1A at our facility in Singapore. In early 2023, we became the first independent provider in Asia to join CFM’s authorised MRO network for LEAP engines as a Premier MRO provider. This enables us to provide the full range of solutions for LEAP engines including engine overhaul, proprietary parts repair technology, engine pooling and leasing, optimising the cost of ownership to operators worldwide.
