Q: When did you join ST Engineering Hackney, and what is your background?

I joined STE Hackney in January 2020 after studying Supply Chain Management at East Carolina University. My career began at Spirit AeroSystems as a Financial Analyst, before moving to Mayne Pharma as a Supply Chain Planner, and working closely with external partners. About two and a half years later, I became Hackney’s Corporate Procurement Manager, where I’ve been for nearly six and a half years. Working with external manufacturers highlighted how important sourcing decisions are for quality and stability. Joining Hackney gave me a chance to shape sourcing strategy and contribute to a company with strong traditions and growth potential.

Q: What excites you most about being part of ST Engineering?

I’m excited to be in a global organization that values innovation and improvement. ST Engineering offers endless opportunities to learn, collaborate, and drive positive change. I enjoy helping shape sourcing strategies that strengthen Hackney’s market position.

Q: Where do you see strategic sourcing driving transformation for STE Hackney?

Strategic sourcing strengthens supplier partnerships, reduces costs, and boosts supply chain resilience. Taking a proactive, analytics-driven approach allows us to consolidate spend, negotiate better terms, and diversify risk. It also supports innovation, sustainability, and operational stability. The more sourcing aligns with engineering and operations, the greater the value across the business.

Q: What advice do you give to young engineers entering the industry today?

Don’t be afraid of mistakes; learn and grow from them. Investigate root causes, stay curious, ask questions, and find mentors who challenge you. Early investment in learning accelerates your career.

Q: Outside of work, what personal interest, hobby, or passion shapes who you are and how you lead?

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, grilling, visiting breweries, and playing golf. Golf helps me decompress, enjoy the outdoors, and develop patience and focus—qualities that influence my leadership.
