A few years ago, Madeleine Ng pursued an opportunity to move from ST Engineering’s commercial aerospace operations in Singapore to its San Antonio base. What began as a career move evolved into a transformative experience—professionally and personally.
Q: Tell us about your journey from Singapore to San Antonio, Texas.
Before relocating to San Antonio, I was a Hydraulic Shop Engineer in the Paya Lebar facility in Singapore. I supported work on a wide range of components such as actuators, autopilot units, integrated drive generators, and accessory drive gearboxes. I participated in several company-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives. I later joined the (CI) team at ST Engineering San Antonio Aerospace in preparation for my transition into a new environment and role.
ST Engineering generously supported my pursuit of the required Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license for this position. To date, I have contributed to multiple programs and continue to develop and grow professionally within the organization.
