Design and Production Capabilities

Design and Production Capabilities

Our end-to-end expertise in advanced manufacturing allows us to imbue value at every stage of the product development cycle. With our proprietary process specifications and integrated workflow procedures, we have all the tools to take a product from a concept to a complete, commercial-ready solution.

Qualifications

We possess Design Organisation Approval (DOA) and Production Organisation Approval (POA) under European Union Aviation Safety Agency Part 21 and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.  We are also equipped with relevant Supplemental Type Certificates to provide parts certification services with specialisations in additive manufacturing. These qualifications for our proprietary process specifications ensure complete process controls that cover material management, printing execution, inspection and post-processing.

Certifications:

  • EASA.21J.292 / EASA.21G.0046
  • CAAS NO. AWI/DOA/003  /  CAAS NO. AWI/POA/034
  • AS9100D & ISO 9001:2015
  • 05869-2006-AQ-SGP-ANAB

Additive Manufacturing-Driven Engineering Design

At every step of the design process, we closely align with customers to ensure that our part solutions meet their requirements, making targeted improvements to maximise performance. These enhancements are made possible through:

  • Design with specific and printable features, supported by a full suite of design software and capabilities
  • Rapid prototyping that enables quick visualisation, evaluation and testing of designs, concepts, or parts
  • Strategic pairing of materials and systems
  • Topology optimisation – the removal of material where it is not required – to achieve the most efficient and lightweight way to design a component with AM-enabled design freedom

Verification and Validation

All additive manufacturing materials, processes, and products are put through a rigorous validation and verification programme to provide customers complete peace of mind.

We have established our own qualified, proprietary workflow and processes through research and development, careful statistical studies and continuous test data collection.

The verification and validation process comprises:

  • Design value and performance tests
  • Material and product flammability tests
  • End-product proof load tests
  • Service simulation tests
  • Co-printed articles for witness testing
  • Physical tests to validate our digital simulations

Printing and Post-Processing

We specialise in both polymer and metal 3D printing, with available materials that include aerospace-authorised materials for airworthy parts and functional parts for various industry applications. R&D materials may also be available on request. We have a range of specialised printers to optimise printing strategies for customers:

  • Polymer printers - FORTUS 900MC, AON M2, Pollen, Farsoon HT430
  • Metal printers – SLM 280, EOS M400, EOS M290

To bring quality products faster to end users, we are also constantly expanding our capabilities of surface enhancements to strengthen our position as an integrated solution provider. These include processes such as surface polishing, vapour smoothening and chromate conversion coating.

Ecosystems

We work closely with a diverse network of research and educational institutions, local small and medium enterprises, airline partners and international brands to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the AM industry. Our efforts in the R&D ecosystem include:
