ST Engineering Expands Smart Mobility Footprint in the Middle East with Over $100m in Projects

Singapore, 7 May 2026 – ST Engineering marked a further expansion of its smart mobility footprint in the Middle East with its Urban Solutions business securing two landmark projects covering intelligent transport system (ITS) maintenance and its proprietary GoParkin™ smart car park solution.  With a combined value exceeding $100m, these projects reflect the region’s growing adoption of integrated, digitally-enabled mobility platforms, and reinforce the business’ position as a trusted partner for large-scale, mission-critical transport systems.

Under a three-year contract that commenced in the first quarter of 2026, ST Engineering Urban Solutions has been engaged as EGIS QBC JV's[1]  preferred partner to support the operations of Qatar’s national intelligent transport system, providing end-to-end maintenance for the Road Management Centre of Ashghal, Qatar’s Public Works Authority. The scope includes continuous system upkeep and technology upgrades to ensure reliable traffic management and safe tunnel operations across the country’s road network, supporting smoother traffic flow and enhanced road safety.

In Jordan, ST Engineering Urban Solutions will deploy its GoParkin smart car park system at the King Hussein Business Park (KHBP), with implementation targeted to begin in the third quarter of 2026. The solution integrates automatic number plate recognition, electric vehicle charging and multimodal payment capabilities on a single platform, enabling a seamless user experience while improving operational efficiency for KHBP.

“These wins underscore our customers’ confidence in our ability to support complex, mobility systems at both national and city scale,” said Gareth Tang, President of ST Engineering’s Urban Solutions business. “As transport infrastructure in the Middle East rapidly evolves, cities are looking beyond standalone technologies towards integrated platforms that deliver measurable performance and long-term value.”

ST Engineering Urban Solutions has built a strong decade-long track record in the Middle East, including the delivery of Dubai’s iTraffic AI-powered intelligent transport system, a barrier-free smart car park system at Dubai Mall integrated with the Salik toll system, and the ongoing deployment of Abu Dhabi’s first multimodal intelligent transportation central platform. Globally, the business has delivered over 60 ITS projects in more than 40 cities, supporting safer and more efficient urban mobility.
