ST Engineering and MSI Global Team Up to Bring Singapore’s Rail Expertise to Global Markets

Singapore, 12 October 2021 - ST Engineering and MSI Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore, today announced that they have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster joint participation and collaboration in rail projects around the world.

Both companies will jointly provide rail electronics solutions and services for rail projects overseas. ST Engineering has implemented over 100 rail electronics projects in more than 48 cities worldwide, while MSI Global has implemented in the region of 154 overseas projects in more than 20 countries. ST Engineering will contribute its established technical and domain expertise in advanced Smart Metro solutions including Smart Metro Control Centres, Command, Control and Communication Systems, Enterprise Asset Management Systems, Platform Screen Door, Automatic Fare Collection Systems and Passenger Information Systems, while MSI Global will provide its expertise in ticketing and payment systems software solutions, systems integration for rolling stock, signalling, power supply systems, depot planning, and project management. The MOU will also include developing joint go-to-market activities to grow Singapore’s rail global footprint.

Mr Sim Wee Meng, Chief Executive Officer of MSI Global said, “Having executed various land transport projects in more than 20 countries, MSI Global has extensive experience in a broad spectrum of services, in particular automatic fare collection system and project management. Some of these projects were completed in collaboration with ST Engineering. The signing of the MOU marks another milestone in the relationship between the two companies.  This MOU will only relate to collaboration outside of Singapore.”
