Alignment to ST Engineering masterbrand will drive greater brand visibility for global growth

Alexandria, VA., Va., June 18, 2019 – In an effort to develop higher brand visibility and position itself for greater commercial impact and marketing presence in the U.S., VT Systems today announced the change of its company legal name from Vision Technologies Systems, Inc. to ST Engineering North America, Inc. (ST Engineering North America). In line with the name change, the company will also adopt the Group corporate brand. Both changes take effect from June 30, 2019.

ST Engineering North America is the U.S. headquarters of ST Engineering, a global technology, defense, and engineering group based in Singapore that specializes in the aerospace, electronics, land systems, and marine sectors. The incorporation of “ST Engineering” into its name and adoption of the ST Engineering masterbrand, reflect the global reach and resources that VT Systems leverages as a member of the Group to deliver top-notch services and solutions to its diverse group of both domestic and international customers.

ST Engineering North America, which is headquartered in Alexandria, VA has 15 operating units, employing about 5,000 employees across 17 cities in 13 states. Its innovative solutions, products and services delivers to customers across the aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine sectors, and include aircraft maintenance, repair and modification; software solutions in training and simulation; satellite-based IP communications technology; network solutions that integrate data, voice and video; rugged computers and computer peripheral equipment; specialized truck bodies and trailers; weapons and munitions systems; road construction equipment; and ship design and construction.

In April, its marine subsidiary, VT Halter Marine was awarded the Polar Security Cutter contract by the U.S. Department of Navy. It also successfully acquired Baltimore-based, MRA Systems, LLC, a manufacturer of engine nacelle systems for both narrow body and widebody aircraft from General Electric Company.

Concurrent with the name change, subsidiaries of ST Engineering North America will also undergo entity name change and adopt the ST Engineering masterbrand. Their market leading product brands such as iDirect, Hackney, Kidron, LeeBoy and TUG will continue to be prominently featured in product marketing communications.
