Singapore, 3 November 2026 – ST Engineering will showcase its latest smart mobility innovations at Singapore Urban Mobility Week 2026, demonstrating how its next-generation technologies help transport operators improve the efficiency, reliability and responsiveness of transport networks while enhancing passenger experiences.
Led by its Urban Solutions business, the showcase will feature new and enhanced smart metro and intelligent transport solutions that leverage AI and other advanced technologies to help operators better understand, anticipate and respond to changing conditions across transport networks, enabling more effective management of increasingly complex operations.
"As transport networks grow in scale, the challenge is no longer access to data, but the ability to translate increasing volumes of data into timely and effective action. Our solutions help operators cut through this complexity by transforming data into operational intelligence, enabling swifter and more informed responses that strengthen service reliability, improve responsiveness and enhance the end-user experience,” said Gareth Tang, President, Urban Solutions at ST Engineering.
Highlights of the smart mobility showcase include:
The AI-powered AURA Metro Operational Intelligence Platform is a first-of-its-kind solution that understands, advises, predicts and orchestrates metro operations, translating vast volumes of operational data into actionable intelligence to accelerate operator decision-making and effective response. Built on digital twin technology, AURA provides a unified operational view of all metro stations on a rail network, enhancing situational awareness, predicting equipment failures and enabling coordinated action for quicker and more effective issue resolution. Its natural language interface allows operators to interact with the platform intuitively, reducing training requirements and accelerating adoption.
The AGIL® Smart Junction features a new Emergency Vehicle Priority (EVP) application that simultaneously coordinates traffic signals along an emergency vehicle’s route to create a continuous priority green wave corridor, enabling swifter emergency response while minimising disruption to other road users. The application uses a GPS-enabled mobile device in emergency vehicles, enabling more cost-effective deployment without the need for additional roadside infrastructure.
The EVP builds on AGIL Smart Junction’s network-wide traffic orchestration capabilities, which use an AI-driven algorithm to optimise traffic signal timings in real time for smoother journeys. An earlier pilot of AGIL Smart Junction demonstrated reductions in traffic junction delays by up to 25 per cent[1] while offering cost reductions in deployment and maintenance compared with conventional traffic control systems. Building on these results, the pilot will be expanded to a total of 60 traffic junctions in western Singapore by 2027.
Unlike conventional platform screen doors (PSDs) that require integration with the train signalling system, the Independent Platform Screen Door (IPSD) solution uses advanced sensing technology to ensure train door alignment and operations without the need for signalling system integration. Additionally, its compact and accessible door controller box design makes it suited for space-constrained brownfield metro stations. These features enable existing stations to be fitted with platform screen doors without modifications to signalling infrastructure, simplifying deployment and reducing service disruption while enhancing passenger safety.
The enhanced AGIL® Pay suite of mobility payment solutions features new account-based fare payment capabilities that use ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and palm-based biometric authentication for contactless payment. With UWB technology enabled on their mobile devices, passengers can simply pass through the fare gates without the need to tap a fare card or device at a payment reader. Alternatively, passengers can authorise fare payment by hovering their palm above a biometric reader before passing through the fare gate. These features enhance the passenger experience while enabling faster passenger throughput at fare gates and seamless fare collection.
Other solutions on display include an Autonomous Vehicle Fleet Management System, Bus Asset Intelligence System, FieldDART GenAI diagnostic tool, GoParkin™ Smart Car Park Suite and Rail Passenger Information System Cybershield.
Expanding Capabilities and Reach through Strategic Partnerships
Beyond its technology showcase, ST Engineering will enter into strategic collaborations that broaden its smart mobility capabilities and expand its global reach. These include working with Siemens Mobility to deliver the signalling system for the Taoyuan MRT Brown Line and Taoyuan MRT Green Line Extension projects in Taiwan, and with SMRT to strengthen bus inspection and maintenance capabilities, including workforce training and productivity enhancements through technology and automation.
ST Engineering’s smart mobility showcase is at Booth G01, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 4, from 4-6 November 2026.

Note:
[1] Reduction in traffic junction delays of about 10 per cent compared with adaptive systems and about 25 per cent compared with fixed-time systems.
