Singapore, 7 August 2026 - Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) secured S$2.9b in new contracts in the second quarter of 2026. These comprised S$1.2b from the Commercial Aerospace segment, S$1.2b from the Defence & Public Security segment and S$0.5b from the Urban Solutions & Satcom segment.
Including these new wins and the recognition of the US$1.3b (~S$1.7b) New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) E-ZPass Services contract during the quarter, the Group ended June 2026 with a strong order book of S$35.7b.
Commercial Aerospace
Commercial Aerospace continued to see healthy customer demand across its aerospace lifecycle solutions and clinched about S$1.2b in new orders across its Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) and Aerostructures & Systems (A&S) businesses, reflecting strong continued support from customers. The MRO orders included airframe services and cabin interior upgrade work on the A330, A350 and 787 widebody aircraft for North American and Asia-Pacific airlines, CFM56 and LEAP engine services for Asia-Pacific and European customers and 787 component services for a European customer. On the A&S business front, demand for engine nacelles and composite floor panels held up well, underpinned by the production schedules of aircraft OEMs.
Defence & Public Security
Defence & Public Security secured about S$1.2b in new contracts across its various businesses, underscoring continued demand for its defence, public security and mission-critical solutions while further expanding its global footprint across key markets.
The Land Systems business continued to receive orders from repeat international customers for its 40mm ammunition and a contract for several types of assault rifles from a law enforcement agency in Southeast Asia. It also secured multi-year MRO and refurbishment contracts for ground support equipment from a customer in the aviation sector.
The Digital Systems business won several contracts including a counter-drone solution for air defence deployment in an Asian country, the provision of video intelligence solutions to enhance public safety in Singapore, high performance GPU infrastructure as well as training and simulation solutions. The Cyber business secured various contracts including supply and maintenance of cybersecurity services, encryptors and data diodes from various customers in Singapore.
The Marine business provided MRO services to the United States Naval Ship fleet while the Defence Aerospace business delivered MRO support for its international C-130 customer base.
Urban Solutions & Satcom
Urban Solutions & Satcom secured about S$0.5b in new orders across its key business lines. The Urban Solutions business secured a follow-on contract to provide rail electronics solutions for Singapore’s Thomson-East Coast Line Extension and continued to strengthen its presence in the Middle East with a contract to deliver an intelligent transport system for the Second Southern Ring Road in Riyadh, while its tolling business in the U.S. secured new contracts for tolling systems and maintenance, ITS maintenance and RFID solutions. Its Smart Utilities and Infrastructure business saw continued demand for its integrated smart security management solutions, winning orders from public sector customers in Singapore. The Satcom business secured a series of satellite operator contracts across the defence, mobility and enterprise markets, supporting network expansion, migration and modernisation programmes.
The NJTA E-ZPass Services contract was awarded to TransCore in September 2024. The contract was not included in the order book at the time due to the ongoing legal appeal by the incumbent service provider. It has now been recognised in the order book, more than a year following the customer's reaffirmation of the award in April 2025 and the commencement of the project in May 2025. The contract also includes options for two further one-year extensions, valued at US$0.4b (~S$0.5b), which have not yet been included in the Group's order book.
These contracts are not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.
